A 29-year-old woman from Tilburg was arrested on Monday for assaulting a police officer after being released from jail half an hour earlier. After her release, the woman decided to lie on the table after which a police officer put her outside. Once outside, the woman freaked out and assaulted the officer.
The 29-year-old woman is known to the police. After her release, she briefly went elsewhere, but returned after half an hour to pick up her bike from the police station. When an agent at the desk asked if she could wait a while so he could look up some things in the system, the woman lay down on the table.
The officer asked the woman several times to leave the table. The 29-year-old refused, after which she was evicted. The woman freaked out when she stood in front of the police station on Stationsstraat and hit the officer in the face. The woman was immediately arrested and detained. In total she was free for half an hour.
