The fatal victim of the water scooter accident near Spaarnwoude is an 18-year-old woman from Haarlem. The co-driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is still there. The police suspect that the two have run into a dukdalf.
Let the police know. The accident happened yesterday afternoon in Zijkanaal C near the viaduct of the A9 on the border between Velsen-Zuid and Spaarndam.
The two sat together on one watercraft. It is still unclear how the accident could have happened. A number of witnesses did see the accident from the side, the police report.
