Wolverhampton Wanderers reaches Portuguese Nunes for club record

Wolverhampton Wanderers has taken over Portuguese international Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon for a club record. The 23-year-old midfielder has signed with the Wolves for five years.

The English club did not disclose an amount, but did report that so much money had never been set aside for a player. According to British media, it concerns an amount of about 38 million pounds, converted about 45 million euros.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have regularly removed players from Portugal in recent years. The club also has a Portuguese trainer: Bruno Lage.

The Wolves have had a poor start to the season in the Premier League. After two matches, Lage’s team is on 1 point. Tottenham Hotspur will be the opponent on Saturday.
