Most valuable attacker of the English
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto (22) will miss this year’s World Cup in Qatar. The reason for this is an ankle injury suffered by England’s most valuable striker, valued at €38m, in the 2-0 loss at West Ham last weekend, which will require surgery. This emerges from a club announcement published on Friday.
It is unclear exactly how long the left winger will be absent, the “Wolves” did not provide any information about this. Neto has made nine appearances in all competitions this season without scoring. He has made three appearances for the Portuguese national team, most recently in the World Cup qualifier in March. In the international match period in September, he was part of the squad for the Nations League duel with the Czech Republic, but was not used.
