Bundesliga soccer team VfL Wolfsburg will continue to rely on the services of Sael Kumbedi in the next few years.
As the club announced on Monday, the “previously agreed purchase option” concerning the Frenchman has now taken effect. In the summer, Kumbedi initially joined the Wolves on loan from French first division club Olympique Lyon. The 20-year-old right-back has a contract until summer 2029.
Kumbedi made his debut for the Wolves on matchday seven and since then the U21 international has made ten competitive appearances. With only four wins from 15 Bundesliga games, the Lower Saxony team is lagging far behind their own expectations this season.
