Wolford x Mugler: Subversive bodies and flattering stockings

Stocking manufacturer Wolford and fashion house Mugler revive a partnership that goes back to the 1980s.

At that time, a two-set collection was launched – still together with the founder of the label Manfred Thierry Mugler, who died at the beginning of the year. Now Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader has designed a twelve-piece collection that flatters the female body with subversive designs.

Shape-giving stockings typical of Mugler are presented in a new color palette such as purple or red. A catsuit with flock patterns and laced tights with cut-outs set bold accents in a collection that combines Mugler’s bondage couture with Wolford’s innovative knitting technology.

“Casey’s unique sensibility and personal vision have revived Mugler’s artistic and experimental legacy", explains Wolford’s commercial director Silvia Azzali in a statement on Friday. She also announced that the collaboration will be expanded even further.

The collection will be available in Wolford stores and online from Friday, as well as in selected Mugler stores and multi-brand stores.
