Woidke supports proposal for memorial to Ukrainian Nazi victims

Brandenburg’s Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) has signaled support for Ukraine’s proposal for a memorial to the Ukrainian victims of National Socialism. “I can only support this suggestion,” Woidke told the “Potsdamer Latest News” and the Berlin “Tagesspiegel” (Friday). “And against the background that we are currently planning a memorial for the Polish victims of the Second World War in Berlin, also as a meeting place, which the Bundestag decided after a long debate.”
