AZ defender Aslak Witry leaves Alkmaar and starts working for the Bulgarian PFC Ludogorets. The Norwegian was still under contract with AZ until the summer of 2026. Good news for Myron van Brederode. He definitely joins the A-selection.
Short stay
The 25-year-old Witry came to AZ in the summer of 2021. He didn’t really break through. He played a total of 47 games for the North Holland team, but did so regularly as a substitute. This season he only played twice for AZ in the Eredivisie. He had to settle for substitutes in the games against Sparta (3-2 win) and Go Ahead Eagles (2-0 win).

The 19-year-old Myron van Brederode definitely joins the A-selection of AZ. The left winger is one of the trendsetters in the team of trainer Pascal Jansen this season. In all three Eredivisie matches of the Alkmaarders, the attacker started in the base. In the game against Go Ahead Eagles, he scored his only goal of the early season.
