The owner of Eetcafé Marktplein in Lith witnessed a violent traffic quarrel between a 69-year-old woman and a couple of 38 and 42 years old on Wednesday. “The woman ended up on the hood, but the driver kept driving,” he says. “It was very scary to watch.” The 38-year-old woman died of her injuries on Wednesday evening. According to the eyewitness, the woman leaves behind a three-year-old daughter.
The quarrel started on Wednesday evening on Kerkstraat in Lith. The 69-year-old woman was first at Eetcafé Marktplein. As she was leaving and about to drive away, she bumped into a parked blue car with a bike carrier on the back. There was damage to the car, so she went looking for the owner of the car.
“She was all mad that there was a bike carrier on the car.”
Startled, she went back into the diner and asked the owner if he knew who the car belonged to. “That car belongs to my neighbours, a Polish couple,” says the owner of the catering business. “She was completely angry that there was a bicycle carrier on the car, because according to her you could not see it.”
Finally, the woman with the couple, the 38-year-old woman and 42-year-old man, rang the doorbell. “I immediately heard the woman screaming and cursing. The couple took some pictures of the damage and then it got completely out of hand. The older woman wanted to drive away.”

But the couple didn’t just let that happen. “The man got behind the car and the woman stood in front of it so she couldn’t leave. But she just drove away. It was very scary to see. That woman was on the hood and that man ended up hanging on the side of the car. the car. That woman just kept driving.” The 69-year-old woman from Oss was arrested later that evening.
