The episode begins with the death of a cook. Apparently it seems to be a common case of murder, but events will prove otherwise. Above all, Elli (Sabrina Ouazani) will be called against her will to come to terms with the past. After all, one cannot oppose fate. And often the past knocks on the door in the most unexpected way and moment.
One day Mathias (Christian Rauth) delivers products from the garden of the Valmagne Abbey to a restaurant in the hinterland of Montpellier. Right at that juncture, the owner of the establishment enters the kitchen and stumbles upon the lifeless body of the sous chef. Elli Taleb investigates the case. The scientific technical police inform her that the man has been poisoned.
Based on initial findings, it emerges that his death could be connected to internal dynamics at the restaurant. In particular, the captain must shed light on relationship between the victim and the two sisters who own the placeGabrielle and Nina Herbier (played by Sophie de Fürst and Lilly-Fleur Pointeaux respectively).
The twist comes when a third character enters the story. It’s about Antoine (Roby Schinasi), Elli’s first great love. Today he is one of the restaurant’s investors and the captain has to find out if and how he is somehow connected to the murder. While in, Clément (Mathieu Spinosi) is ever closer to discovering the identity of his parents.

Who are Elli Taleb and Clément
Elli Taleb is a cop with a strong personality and impossible to scratch. It is the result of a troubled private life. In addition to professional responsibilities, in fact, he has family ones. She raises the three sisters alone. She is a tightrope walker, in a constant race against time.
His daily working life undergoes a strong jolt when he meets Clément. He is a young man with a troubled past, about to end his vows. He grew up inside the Valmagne Abbey and spent most of his life on books. For years, his mentor was the administrator of the monastery, Father Benedetto. Elli, on the other hand, is the furthest thing from religion. She grew up with a Muslim father and a Jewish mother. And she today she professes to be profoundly an atheist. They are diametrically opposed, yet they find ways to collaborate on various cases that arise.
They act in the area around Montpellier, where the series is set. And they soon realize that together they are an unbeatable team. Besides being a future priest, in fact, Clément Desmoulin is also a graduate in psychocriminology. And his cultural baggage and his tireless spiritual commitment prove to be of great help to Elli.

In previous installments, they found themselves investigating several cases. The first, the one that brought them together, is the stabbing of Father Benedetto, which took place inside the monastery. Then it was the turn of Jonas, a scout found dead in a Protestant temple. He initially suspects himself of an overdose, but investigations by Taleb and Clément lead to a murder.

The next and last episode sees the Abbey of Valmagne at the center, the protagonist of a new whodunit. The victim is the master builder of the company in charge of the renovation. And, once again, Elli and Clément are investigating.
