With “Proud of Ostend” Open Vld, Groen and CD&V attract the voters in Ostend

The largest number of places on the list goes to the Liberals. Then the Greens follow second and finally CD&V. There is also room for independents on the list. That amounts to 41 candidates from four different groups. In addition to the three parties, N-VA is also in the current coalition, but it thanked for “Proud of Ostend”.

Strikingly, Open Vld, Groen and CD&V are the three badly scoring parties in the national polls. In Ostend they join forces. With ‘Proud of Ostend’, the parties want to focus on poverty reduction, affordable housing, mobility, activation policy and nature and climate.

It has also been decided that the parties will form one faction in the Ostend city council after the elections.
