Interpol have announced a new album, THE OTHER SIDE OF MAKE-BELIEVE, to be released on July 15th. As a first foretaste, the New York band released their new song “Toni” and the accompanying music video.
The music video for the single “Toni”, directed by Market Van Alpert, is the first part of a two-part film. The new record is their first in four years and the band’s seventh studio album. THE OTHER SIDE OF MAKE-BELIEVE was created by the band remote written, but they reunited in early 2021 in a rented house in the Catskills to work together on the new album. They completed it in north London that same year and reunited with Alan Moulder, who co-produced the album with Flood.

Guitarist Daniel Kessler said: “Working alone was hard at first, but it opened up a new, vibrant chapter for us”. Drummer Samuel Fogarino added: “We really got the best out of this situation”.
Interpol most recently released MARAUDER in 2018 and the A FINE MESS EP in 2019. In support of the album, the group will be touring with Tacho and Matthew Dear this month. At the end of August she goes on a co-headlining tour with Spion.
