On Oct. 20, Pharrell Williams shared a picture of him and Travis Scott working on their song “Down in Atlanta.” Now the song was released on Friday (November 18) with a lyric video. “Down in Atlanta is Williams’ second single of the year. He and Tyler, the Creator previously co-released the single “Cash In Cash Out” with 21 Savage in June 2022.
Speaking to RM, a member of K-pop band BTS, Pharrell Williams previously suggested the song “Down in Atlanta” would be part of his upcoming album PHFRIENDS. The album has no release date yet and will also feature a song featuring BTS. Pharrell said of the song that he was “super grateful” and “everyone who hears it just goes, ‘Whoa.'”
A video showing Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott filming the music video was shared on Twitter on October 6th. Tyler, the Creator can also be seen there. Pharrell’s last solo album was GIRL (2014). Also on November 5th, tickets will go on sale for his Something In the Water festival, taking place April 28-30, 2023 in Virginia Beach, his birthplace.
