There are several golden phases in Pixar’s not-so-long history. One of them began in 2007 with the animal cooking fun “Ratatoille”. This was followed by three more masterpieces. “Up,” “WALL-E,” and “Toy Story 3.”
“Up”, the story of an old widower who sets out on an adventure with a clumsy scout boy and a talking dog, is one of the most touching stories from the animated film company, which has been part of Disney for several years. This is mainly due to the first quarter of an hour, which tells the sad, beautiful love story of the grumpy hero without words and in fast motion. But the film also offers an iconic image, with its house being carried by balloons to another corner of the world, that has long been known to every filmgoer beyond the genre and should have a place in many hearts.
LEGO and Disney 100
To mark the 100th birthday of the mouse company, the toy manufacturer LEGO is now releasing some sets that are reminiscent of the magic of many Disney films. There is a camera for adults to assemble, and several combinations appear for the entertainment company’s latest prank, “Wish”. And the highlight is certainly still anything that has to do with “Star Wars”. But one of the most beautiful sets has to be Carl’s house from the Pixar favorite “Up”.
The model includes a chimney, a bedroom, a porch and a living room with a fireplace, as well as many details that will make viewers of the film smile, such as an adventure book with illustrations, a balloon inflator and Russell’s wilderness explorer backpack .
The lovingly designed set contains around 600 pieces and is suitable for children aged 10 and over. It is currently available on Amazon for 39.99 euros.
