Per license instead of football coaches
The German Football Association (DFB) is again starting a course this year to acquire the highest coaching license at national level. As the association announced on Wednesday, the number of participants has been reduced from 25 to 16. The trainees include Danny Röhl, assistant coach of the German national team, and Marc Hensel from FC Erzgebirge Aue. As the only woman Marie-Louise Eta included.
The 13-month training starts on February 28th and ends with the awarding of the Pro license to the graduates. In previous years, the degree was still under the name football teacher. Another change is that in future the participants will be trained on the DFB campus in Frankfurt and not as usual in the Hennef sports school.
“Our coaches are the key to the sporting success of our teams and to the development of our national players of tomorrow. For the DFB Academy, it is still an absolute priority to design their training in the best possible way and to support them individually,” said Tobias Haupt, head of the DFB Academy. The four focal points this year are “Trainer-I”, “Gamers and players”, “Organization” and “Football system”.
All participants at a glance: Nils Döring (SV Wehen Wiesbaden), Benjamin Duda (Berlin AK), Marie-Louise Eta (DFB), Marc Hensel (Erzgebirge Aue), Kai Herdling (TSG Hoffenheim), Fabian Hürzeler (FC St. Pauli), Matthias Kaltenbach (TSG Hoffenheim), Joseph Laumann (FC Barnsley), Robert Lechleiter (SpVgg Unterhaching), Björn Mehnert (Wuppertaler SV), Benedetto Muzzicato (Viktoria Berlin), Oliver Reiß (Hertha BSC), Danny Röhl (DFB), Jonas Stephan (Chemnitzer FC), Tobias Strobl (1. The new @dfb_verband pro license course will kick off on February 28th. The former football teacher training course is given a new name and with the move to the #DFBCampus also a new central contact point.
