Enovacom, a subsidiary of Orange Business Services (OBS) specializing in health, announced yesterday the signing of an agreement to buy Exelus. The Bordeaux-based company publishes the Nomadeec telemedicine software. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Unlike most telemedicine solutions, Nomadeec specializes in mobile consultations. Very useful in emergency situations, the software is deployed in 25% of SAMUs in France, and 150 ambulance companies. Its availability on tablet or PC also makes it a daily tool for other health professionals, enough to claim 200 medico-social customer structures as well.

By joining OBS, Exelus will be able to rely on its areas of expertise to develop Nomadeec. ” We will benefit from the solidity and expertise of the Orange group, and create many synergies in order to be able to accelerate the deployment of our Nomadeec platform in France and internationally.,” develops in a press release Xavier Maurin, CEO of Exelus.
Networks, IoT, interoperability, 5G, security… in its announcement, Orange does not hide its ambitions to develop the capacities of its new acquisition. ” This acquisition is fully in line with our desire to offer solutions that are as close as possible to the health professions, and telemedicine is a strategic area, both for establishments and for patients. With this acquisition, Enovacom, within Orange Business Services, will be able to offer a unique telemedicine offer on the market. adds Laurent Frigara, CEO ofEnovacom.
The unusual – but obviously very relevant – positioning of Nomadeec should therefore be consolidated. It already allows rescuers or firefighters to carry out examinations remotely and transmit the results in real time. An option even offers the possibility of activating a camera or a live broadcast. There is no doubt that the preferred areas of Orange Business Services will enable it to create competitive advantages.
