A bloody nose, a blue eye or a bruised rib. Every day 30 agents in our country have to deal with aggression, while they just do their work. The figures are even at the highest level since the start of the counts. In one police zone there are more than 100 cases a year that even lead to disability, while in just 10 of the 101 police zones in Flanders the counter remains at 0. “If we count all aggression, we are 11,000 cases a year,” says Vincent Houssin of police union VSOA.
