Maddalena Crippa will give voice to the poetess
Will be Madeleine Crippa to bring her on stage at the end of March with the show Hear how your heart beats for me ( from the poem Any case) flanked by Andrea Nicolini and with live music by Michele Sganga. A path of words, music, images and emotions through well-known poems and some absolutely unpublished even in Polandand recently discovered in the archives, as well as materials still unpublished in Italy, such as correspondence with her great love, Kornel Filipowicz to which she was linked from 1969 to 1990, the year of her death, to retrace a life poised between enchantment and despair.
The dates of the show
Listen to how your heart beats strong will be staged on March 27 at the Vittoria Theater in Rome in the national premiere (preceded by the preview on March 26 at the Boni Theater in Acquapendente, Viterbo), then on April 4 it will be in Milan at the Litta Theater, at the international poetry festival of Genoa on June 17, at the Fiesole summer in Florence, September 9. The show is produced by the Teatro Pubblico Ligure, in co-production with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute of Warsaw, with the patronage of the Wisława Szymborska Foundation of Krakow, in collaboration with the Polish Institute of Rome.
Wislawa Szymborska’s collages
Wislawa Szymborska’s entry into the world of art however, it was in the sign of design. In the years of the Second World War in Krakow, in addition to working on the railways, dodging the forced deportation by the Nazis, illustrated an English-language textbook. And he returned to drawing throughout his life, combining it as a leisure activity with theatrical, essayist and, of course, poetic production. In particular to the collages. 85 collages are the focus of show Wislawa Szymborska The joy of writing open from 15 Juneto the Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa and who you can visit until 3 Septemberedited by Sergio Maifredi. The collages will be displayed in the exhibition and some will be reproduced on the entire wall, embracing the spectators in the scenographic and immersive installation by Jandura. The path will be dotted with 100 Maxims by Wisława Szymborskaextracted from his poems.
