Most of the top players stay, some big talents and stars come. As of now, the Bundesliga has gained in luster in the transfer period.
Jadon Sancho, David Alaba, Leon Bailey and Ibrahima Konaté left the Bundesliga last summer. Denis Zakaria and Wout Weghorst followed in winter. Players who had shaped and inspired the league in previous years.
The top floor of German football did not have any really well-known additions from other leagues at the time. Angelino, who was previously active for Leipzig, Dortmund’s Donyell Malen, Leipzig’s Mohamed Simakan and Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou were probably the changes that are most likely to fall into the “upscale” category. Talented players but not (then) the top shelf in the European market.
Sought-after youngsters, returnees and a superstar
In the previous transfer window, things are looking better for the Bundesliga in terms of “radiance”. In Sadio Mané, a top player from past Premier League and Champions League seasons will be added. BVB newcomer Karim Adeyemi is one of the greatest German talents and will also play in the German upper house with immediate effect. Pretty sure together with Sébastien Haller, whose move to BVB will be official at the beginning of July according to information from the sports show and who already left deep traces of success in Germany a few years ago.
Bayern’s new midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is considered the (near) future in the Dutch national team’s control center and the young Adam Hlozek will not only form an attacking duo with Patrik Schick in the Czech selection, but also in Leverkusen. The fact that Eintracht Frankfurt has signed the 2014 World Cup hero in Mario Götze, who now wants to prove himself again in his home country, is of course a special treat for football regulars and comment columns.
Nkunku and Wirtz in the footsteps of Havertz and De Bruyne?
With the exception of Mané, none of them are world stars (or any more), but they are highly sought-after and promising players who have deliberately decided to join the Bundesliga in order to be able to make the step into the very highest category. Players like Kai Havertz, Erling Haaland or Kevin De Bruyne are the big role models.
Christopher Nkunku has already reached about this, but at least very close to this category in the last season. And he just extended his contract with RB Leipzig again. In his new working paper, however, an exit clause of 60 million euros should also be anchored. First of all, this is music of the future. The Frenchman stays, just like Florian Wirtz, who in the middle of his rehab extended his contract with Bayer Cross again until 2027. Just like teammate Schick back in May; and no club from Leverkusen has been able to get rid of the coveted Moussa Diaby.
The top scorers stay (almost) all
Of the 25 top scorers of the past Bundesliga season, only Erling Haaland has definitely left German football. Sure, staying with Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry is questionable – but apparently not entirely impossible. At Taiwo Awoniyi, a departure to England is also apparently imminent. But the (brand) names Mané, Adeyemi, Haller, Götze and the remaining Nkunku, Schick, Wirtz and Co. promise a “glamor update” that those responsible for the league, but also the fans, appreciate should know.
