Winter Wonderland: this is how you take the most beautiful snow photos

The way it falls softly to the ground, covering the earth with a giant white blanket, makes everything seem so fresh and magical. This is how you capture it well on camera:

1. Capture the falling snow

The magical atmosphere that arises when snow falls is not easy to capture in a still image. But play with depth of field and take some pictures of a nice twig with some snow on it, for example. If it isn’t snowing at the time of shooting, you can always throw some snow in the air yourself. In any case, make sure you have a dark background, because then you can see the snowflakes better.

2. Be creative

Go to a beautiful, unknown place. When you are the very first, you can also shoot the most beautiful pictures. The snow then forms a beautiful white blanket over nature. Snow comes into its own in photos when it’s squeaky fresh.

3. Play with light

Do not put your camera on automatic mode, because it chooses an average exposure. As a result, the camera is not used to seeing so much white and it automatically darkens the photo. The snow then turns gray and a blue glow appears. Shame! Play with the light yourself and don’t forget to adjust the white balance.

4. Take a step backwards or forwards

Make sure to take advantage of the beautiful scenery by stepping back and capturing much of the area. But then also get extra close to capture details. This combination ensures the most beautiful snow reports. Good luck!
