The flirt between Eintracht Frankfurt and Randal Kolo Muani from FC Nantes is on the home stretch. The 23-year-old attacker is said to be hired by SGE, but the medical examination is said to be pending.
The fact that Eintracht Frankfurt is interested in Randal Kolo Muani should hardly surprise anyone. Persistent rumors were already spreading in the summer of 2021, but a change is said to have failed due to FC Nantes’ transfer fee.
According to “Sky”, the deal will now be completed in the coming days. The “kicker” recently announced that a free transfer would be agreed at the end of the season.
Either way, the offensive player should now complete the medical check. According to the trade magazine, the deal could only fail if something “unpredictable” happens. However, according to “Sky”, the planned date on Monday fell through because Muani was not released from FC Nantes.
The investigation should be able to take place soon, however, since both clubs have agreed, it is said. There are still a few days left until the end of the transfer phase on January 31 to finalize the deal.
Eintracht Frankfurt gets a physically strong attacker
Kolo Muani embodies the physically strong striker that Eintracht is currently lacking. In addition, the former junior national player can be used flexibly and can act in the center of the attack, on both offensive flanks and as a hanging striker.
Kolo Muani scored 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 competitive games for Nantes. In 2021/22 alone he scored seven goals and three assists in 21 games.
There is a need for action in the Main metropolis, as Sam Lammers and Jens Petter Hauge have two strikers in the squad whose loan contracts expire in the summer of 2022. It is not yet clear whether there will be a stay.
