After all the fuss about his ‘charity’, Winston Gerschtanowitz cannot be seen in the new King’s Day advertisement of the Postcode Lottery. “Remarkably, yes,” says former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp.
It’s not exactly a pleasant month for Winston Gerschtanowitz. His ‘charity’ EarthToday has been exposed by the weekly Quote as a huge profit machine. According to Johan Derksen he is a ‘pseudo-swindler’, Youp van ‘t Hek thinks he is a ‘grabbing money grab’ and Albert Heijn has since broken up with him.
Remarkable
Former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp notices that Winston cannot be seen in the new King’s Day advertisement of the Postcode Lottery. And that while the ‘ambassadors’ of the lottery stumble over each other in this. Gaston Starreveld, Caroline Tensen, Martijn Krabbé, Quinty Trustfull and Nicolette van Dam go crazy in advertising.
It would not surprise Tina if it was deliberately chosen not to give Winston a role in this advertisement. “Postcode Lottery has not yet given an official response to Winston and the profit targets of his ‘charity company’… At least he is not in their King’s Day commercial. Remarkably, yes.”
What does lottery do?
New Revu columnist Leon Verdonschot wonders how the Postcode Lottery will eventually respond. “I wonder if we’ll continue to see that cool boy grin of yours on posters with a golden briefcase, or if the Postcode Lotteries and SBSs of this world decide that you may no longer be the most suitable poster boy for charities.”
Youp van ‘t Hek has since renamed Winston to ‘Winstton’.
