Michel Petrucciani is considered one of jazz’s most influential pianists and has worked with some of the genre’s most celebrated exponents, including Wayne Shorter, Roy Haynes, Jim Hall, John Abercrombie and Jack DeJohnette.
Michel Petrucciani: The Montreux Years brings together some of the French musician’s most impressive performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival between 1990 and 1998.
Included are rousing recordings of “35 Seconds of Music and More”, “Rachid” and “Little Peace in C for U”.
Incidentally, the compilation is part of a series of performances from the Montreux Jazz Festival. Past albums of live recordings by Nina Simone, Etta James, Marianne Faithfull, Muddy Waters, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Monty Alexander and Paco De Lucía have continued.
We are giving away two copies each of “Michel Petrucciani: The Montreux Years” on vinyl and CD. Whoever wants to win just has to fill out the form and enter “Petrucciani” as the solution. The closing date for entries is April 21st.
