Marketa Vondrousova defeated her Tunisian rival Ons Jabeur 6-4 in Wimbledon, the third grand slam tournament of the season, and reached the championship. Reaching the first grand slam title of her career, 24-year-old Vondrousova made history as the first female tennis player to become a champion without being seeded.
