Wimbledon: Otte fails in round two

The Cologne tennis pro Oscar Otte missed the entry into the third round of the 136th All England Championships.

The 29-year-old qualifier lost to the Colombian Daniel Galan 3: 6, 6: 3, 3: 6, 6: 7 (3: 7). This means that there are only two Germans left in the men’s tournament in Wimbledon: Olympic champion Alexander Zverev and Maximilian Marterer.

Otte had against the world number 85. Galan had the chance to force a decisive fifth set, but gave up the advantage of a break and had to admit defeat after 2:31 hours. In the first round, Otte had won the German duel against Dominik Koepfer in three sets.
