The Spaniard should have faced the Colombian Galan: “Symptoms are not serious, I think it’s the right decision”
After the cases of Marin Cilic and Matteo Berrettini at Wimbledon, another positivity emerged at Covid: Roberto Bautista Agut, semifinalist at the Championships in 2019 and this year’s seeder number 17 of the tournament was forced to retire. He announced it with a post on social media: “Today I communicated my retirement to the organizers. I tested positive for Covid. Fortunately, the symptoms aren’t very serious, but I think it’s the best decision. Thank you for your support. I hope to come back soon”.
Bautista Agut should have played today against Colombian Galan in the second round match. In the first round he had eliminated the Hungarian Attila Balazs.
