Wim Lagae devotes chapter of new book to Cercle…

Last month, sports economist Wim Lagae presented his third book. What is striking in the book is that he devotes a chapter to the origins of Cercle Brugge and Club Brugge. He also explains the takeover of the association by AS Monaco. Professor Lagae uses this as the example of a successful takeover. The takeover of KV Kortrijk by the Japanese is used as an example of a failed takeover.

In his book Faster, bigger, crazier, Wim Lagae talks about the rat race in sports, resulting in a crazy sports business. He tells the story of Cercle and KV Kortrijk, but also of Patrick Lefevere, Red Bull or Nike.
