The promotion of FC Volendam to the Eredivisie is not the only good news tonight. Trainer Wim Jonk said he will stay with the club next year after the promotion match in Den Bosch. This seems to end the uncertainty about his future.
Commercial director Jan Smit had already indicated to BNR last month that Jonk would probably stay. The trainer has always remained a bit unclear until now. “You would say that, that will be fine”, Jonk answered when asked whether he will become an Eredivisie trainer at Volendam. “If you say a, then b usually follows.”
