Three years ago, Wim Jonk decided to take up the challenge to help the illustrious club from his native village back to the Eredivisie. On Friday evening, the former top football player succeeded in his mission by winning with FC Volendam at FC Den Bosch (1-2), as a result of which the club was promoted to the highest level after thirteen years of absence.
