Wim Helsen presented his new hall show ‘Not my monkeys not my circus’ in ‘De Cooke & Verhulst Show’. In the performance he talks about the difficult relationship with his father. “Our bond was difficult. We had a difficult relationship until he died,” says Helsen. “Many of the things that I carry with me, that get in the way of being happy, are things that I unconsciously learned from my father. I saw that not before, I only saw him as a troublemaker. Now there is reconciliation and love.”
