Dfter the traditional Christmas celebrated at Sandringham with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family, William and Kate repack their bags and leave for Bucklebury Manor, the Middleton family home. Because in-laws Carole and Michael know how to celebrate the arrival of the new year in style.
William and Kate spend New Year’s Eve at the Middletons’
The one at the end of year party organized by Carole and Michael Middleton in their residence in the Berkshire countryside, not far from London, it is a particularly coveted invitation in the circles that count in the capital. The couple starts sending invitations to important relatives and friends already at the end of the summer, and for the occasion they also expect the arrival of the entire Princes of Wales clan.
George, Charlotte and Louis can play freely
The Middleton party starts on the afternoon of the 31st and children are welcome. Kate’s parents set up huge heated tents in the vast gardens surrounding the villa and George, Charlotte and Louis play with their cousins Arthur, Grace and Rose, Pippa Middleton’s children. Also present will be Uncle James, with his wife Alizée Thevenet and their firstborn Inigo.
Carole Middleton knows how to throw a successful party
Despite recent financial problems (they were forced to sell their business Party Piecesa company specializing in holiday decorations), the Middletons spare no expense and for their event they always ensure services of catering particularly popular at the moment. In short, an invitation that no one can refuse. Also because the guests of honor are none other than William and Kate, the princes of Wales.
William and Kate relaxing, far from Royal protocol
Compared to the rigor followed during the Royal Christmas celebrations, where Kate is forced to change clothes numerous times in the same day, on New Year’s Eve there are no rules to follow. For the Middletons’ party we finally dress comfortably. But Carlo and Camilla will not be there. Having finished entertaining their children and grandchildren at Sandringham, the king and queen left for Scotland and will spend New Year’s Eve alone, not at Balmoral but in the quiet of nearby Birkhall, their private residence.
