Prince William and Duchess Catherine made their first appearance with their dog Orla.
Prince William and the duchess Catherine took part in a charity polo match in Windsor on Wednesday.
The duke couple had a special family member with them: the family dog Orla.

Orla calmly watched from the stands with Catherine as William competed in the match.
The black cocker spaniel joined the royal family in 2020, shortly before Lupo’s death. Orla was a gift from Catherine’s brother, From James Middleton.

Orla was introduced to the public for the first time in May, when the dog posed as a princess Charlotte’s in the birthday portrait. Wednesday’s event was the dog’s first official representation.

The polo match ended with the victory of Prince William’s team. In the charity tournament, more than one million euros were collected for numerous different charities.
Catherine congratulated her husband with a kiss. The couple was not afraid of public displays of affection anyway, but walked close together with their hands on each other’s backs.

British royals have typically refrained from excessive public displays of affection. However, William and Catherine have offered modern touches to the old tradition.
Etiquette Specialist Myka Meier says People-magazine, that the royals do not have official rules regarding the matter, but the appropriate amount of teasing is up to the discretion and opportunity of those concerned.
