Together with the ambassador of Ukraine and his wife, the royal couple talked to the guests about their family and friends who are still in Ukraine. They also discussed the need for help from the Netherlands and other countries.
Fear, Anger and Sadness
The royal couple wrote on Instagram afterwards: “People from the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands told us their story today. They spoke of their fear, anger and fathomless grief. About the love for their loved ones. And about their belief that freedom will triumph. The conversations touched us deeply. Ukraine deserves all of us support.”
