Will we still get winter weather in Zoetermeer? This is the weather forecast for February

We have already passed the first month of 2023. That means February has arrived. What will the weather be like in Zoetermeer this winter month? Jaco van Wezel, meteorologist at weatheronline.nl tells us.

“February starts with mild, changeable and wet weather. Rain areas and showers from the Atlantic Ocean move across our country at a rapid pace and the wind can sometimes be quite strong. With such a type of weather, residents on the coast regularly have to deal with heavy gusts of wind and we should not be surprised if there is a storm,” says Jaco.

Small chance of frost

In the first half of February the wind comes from the west to southwest. This supplies soft air and there is only a small chance of light frost. During the day the temperature is between 5 and 10 degrees.

Second half of February

In the second half of February it will probably be quieter and drier. In that calm weather, fog can easily form and there will be less rain than usual. Jaco: “The climate average for the end of February is about 8 degrees. In February, the temperature sometimes rises into double digits when there is enough sun.” In other words: you don’t have to get the skates out of the grease in February.
