Joshua Zirkzee once made his breakthrough as a professional at FC Bayern. The striker could now possibly be drawn back to the Bundesliga. Is VfB Stuttgart putting out feelers?
Joshua Zirkzee is starting at FC Bologna this season. The Dutchman has already scored eight goals in 19 competitive games. There are also four templates.
No wonder that the attacker’s strong performances arouse desire. “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg is now linking Zirkzee with a move to VfB Stuttgart. “Why not? Stuttgart could fit,” said the transfer expert.
At VfB, the 22-year-old could follow in Serhou Guirassy’s footsteps. The goalgetter is repeatedly linked with a farewell to the Swabians; his release clause is said to be 20 million euros.
50 million euros for Zirkzee?
Financially, a Zirkzee change is unlikely to be feasible for the Stuttgart team. “fichajes.net” recently reported that Newcastle United would be willing to transfer 50 million euros to Bologna.
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, SSC Napoli, Inter Milan and Juventus Turin are also said to be interested in buying Zirkzee. The 22-year-old’s contract runs until 2026.
If this sum is correct, FC Bayern can probably look forward to a generous windfall. When Zirkzee was sold to FC Bologna, the Munich-based team received a manageable 8.5 million euros, but according to “Sky” they were guaranteed a buyback clause for around 20 million euros and a resale share of 50 percent.
With a transfer fee of 50 million euros, 25 million euros would flow to the German record champions.
Particularly interesting for FC Bayern: If Zirkzee continues to improve over the rest of the season, the sums being speculated about are likely to skyrocket even further.
