Will the station building still end up in the hands of Ingelmunster?

The station building and associated parking lot were acquired by a local electrical dealer earlier this year. The municipality was also a candidate buyer, and Ingelmunster remains so. The municipal council wants to redesign the nearby intersection, but according to the majority, the station building must disappear. Ingelmunster will now enter into discussions with the electrical dealer again to discuss a possible sale.

Opposition party CD&V believes that a traffic-safe environment can be reconciled with the preservation of the station building.
