Rebecca Reusch (then 14) looks happily into her sister Jessica’s (31) eyes.
The teenager’s photo was taken at Jessica’s wedding. Shortly before she swore eternal loyalty to groom Florian R.
A year later, Rebecca disappeared – to this day one of the most mysterious missing persons cases in Germany. With only one suspect: Florian R. (31 today). A man, four years – but apparently no solid evidence!
To this day, the LKA investigators assume that Rebecca did not leave the house of her sister and brother-in-law alive on February 18, 2019.
At that time, Florian R. was working as a chef in a hotel restaurant on the Kudamm. After a night of drinking, he came home and claimed to have gone to sleep – when cell phone data proved otherwise!
He also said he was home at noon on February 18th. Another lie! R. was traveling towards Poland in the family Twingo and was registered by a control system.
Ten days after Rebecca’s disappearance, Florian R. was arrested. He was later taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter – and was able to walk again.
Then, three weeks ago, Florian R. and Rebecca’s sister were searched again. Police officers carried out acoustic measurements: who could have heard what? It’s possible that Nurse Jessica was still at home. Because: A possible time of the crime is just as unclear as a possible motive – and whether there is even a corpse.
R. and Jessica have two children and spend a lot of time with Rebecca’s parents. Nobody in the family doubts the brother-in-law’s innocence.
