You can see some flops coming far in advance: SBS 6 will soon broadcast a kind of good news news every evening at 6 p.m. “With Talitha Muusse! If that doesn’t work…”
It is extremely striking how many negative reviews the new GoedNieuws Today program is already receiving. The daily program with presenters Donatello Piras and Nikki Herr only starts on October 2, but it is already raining negative reviews. Critics think this six-hour program will be a huge ratings flop.
Thought twist
What exactly can we expect from GoedNieuws Today? Types like Sofie van den Enk, two-toner Raymond Mens and Talitha Muusse have to deal with all kinds of topics in a positive way. A bit like Bas Smit: just laughing, screeching and roaring. “The Rose Glasses. For all ostriches and other lookers,” says Jan Dijkgraaf on X.
Johan Derksen is also not enthusiastic. “How can you expect that from Dutch people who are all in dire straits? I don’t know who came up with it, but it’s a twist of thought. It’s nothing and it will never be anything and you can’t make a nice good news show. That doesn’t exist, because there are days when there is no good news.”
‘It won’t work out’
Johan grumbles Today Inside that he really thinks this is a very bad idea. “The people from Hart van Nederland and Shownieuws are going to do that, right? And that won’t work, man! It’s hard for me to say that I like it, because it won’t work out!”
Ratings hooligan Tina Nijkamp thinks it will attract ‘very few viewers’ and investigative journalist Kim van Keken thinks it is hypocritical that SBS 6 suddenly wants to produce a good news newscast. She writes on X: “Nice! And then a few hours later the viewer can see how the good news is being talked about in the football canteen of the same channel.”
Yvonne sneers
Yvonne Coldeweijer finds it especially laughable that the dismissed Op1 star Talitha Muusse is participating in this. “Who do I see there?! Our friend Taliet! From school newspaper research at BNR (after which she suddenly disappeared without a trace) to the new school newspaper TV from SBS: GoedNieuws. If that doesn’t turn out to be a flop…
Telegraaf face Kitty Herweijer also has no confidence in GoedNieuws Today. “This sounds like a program title from a dystopian novel.”
Domien fillets
And Qmusic star Domien Verschuuren also fillets everything:
