American actor Will Smith has canceled his membership of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Friday. The reason is the blow that Smith handed out to presenter Chris Rock during the Oscar ceremony. The Academy subsequently initiated disciplinary proceedings against Smith.
