On June 18, 2022, Sir Paul McCartney will celebrate his 80th birthday. At the end of April his US tour entitled “Got Back” will start in Spokane, Washington State, where he will also present the songs from his latest album “III”. And then the British mega-festival Glastonbury casts its shadow.

A series of paparazzi photos has now appeared in the Daily Mail, in which a fit McCartney next to his wife Nancy Shevells (62) and their son Arien jumps into the waters of the Caribbean. The musician wore a long-sleeved, navy-blue shirt with his swimming shorts to protect his “light skin”, according to the newspaper, from the intense sunlight. His wife also listened to the dermatologists’ recommendations – and wore a black top.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that McCartney will be “promoted” to the rank of Lord in three months’ time on the social circuit around the coronation boulevard of Pall Mall. In 1997, at the age of 25, Queen Elizabeth II personally beat him to the “Knight Bachelor”. The accolade, so to speak.

As early as 1965, all four members of the Beatles were honored with the medal “Member of the British Empire” (MBE). John Lennon returned the clunker utensil back in 1969 in protest at British involvement in the war in Biafra, Africa.
According to the usually well-informed rioter The Sun, McCartney should be recognized (again) for his lifetime musical achievement and contribution to British culture. This special award, known as “peerage”, has so far only been bestowed on a few creative artists. About musical king Andrew Lloyd Webber (73), as well as the deceased actors Richard Attenborough and Laurence Olivier.
