“Palhinha still dreams of playing for Bayern. And Bayern will put more pressure on me in January, I’m sure of that,” Meira said in an interview with the TV station. In his opinion, the veteran is a “perfect fit for Bayern,” said the ex-professional about a possible change of scenery.
The German record champions are still looking for a so-called “Holding Six”. “His development is incredible, he has this irrepressible hunger for success. Joao has the personality and the will to become a great. He has everything a leader needs to have,” Meira sang in praise of Palhinha.
But the Fulham star would by no means be cheap. “The Sun” recently estimated Palhinha’s market value at around 70 million euros. Manchester City are also said to be interested.
