Record champions Bayern Munich are looking for reinforcements for the right-back position. The number one option so far has been ex-Leipzig player Nordi Mukiele, who is currently in the service of Paris Saint-Germain. But signing the 26-year-old Frenchman is reportedly proving more difficult than expected.
According to information from “Sky”, the Munich team only wants to borrow Mukiele for the time being and also secure a purchase option. Paris, on the other hand, would probably like to sell the defensive player this winter. If Mukiele’s return to the Bundesliga doesn’t work out, FC Bayern should rely on Kieran Trippier as Plan B. The veteran would meet old friends at Bayern
Trippier is currently under contract with Newcastle United. The Englishman has appeared in 28 games this season and is a regular starter for the Magpies. The 33-year-old veteran has not managed a goal so far this season, but he was able to demonstrate his offensive skills with eight assists.
At FC Bayern, Trippier would meet two old companions in Harry Kane and Eric Dier. The three Englishmen know each other from the national team, for which Trippier has played 46 games so far.
