Hertha has Freiburg’s Ermedin Demirovic (23) on the wish list. The Berliners have been dealing with the striker for weeks and are aiming for a loan with an option to buy.
But suddenly there is a problem! Does Freiburg coach Christian Streich (56) put a spanner in the works for the Berliners?
In this Bundesliga season, Demirovic played almost no role under Streich. He was allowed to play a total of 304 minutes and scored one goal.
Since Hertha’s interest has been known, the Demirovic turn has been on the horizon! In the round of 16 of the cup, Bosnia’s international was in Freiburg’s starting line-up, scored a goal in the 4-1 win in Hoffenheim and scored one goal.
Streich now reportedly wants to keep Demirovic. Does Hertha have to remove the striker from the wish list – or is there an agreement? The problem: Due to Corona, Hertha has almost no money for transfer fees in winter.

Incidentally, this also applies to central defender Marc Oliver Kempf (26 / Stuttgart) and winger Kelian Nsona (19 / SM Caen). Hertha agrees with both players, who are free transfers in the summer. They too should preferably come immediately – without a fee.
Stuttgart and Caen would then save at least a few months’ wages for the players.
