On paper, FC Bayern has three exciting options for the left side of defense in Alphonso Davies, Raphael Guerreiro and young hopeful Frans Krätzig. Nevertheless, the German record champions are said to be interested in Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu – as is BVB.
Ferdi Kadioglu recently caused a stir in the Turkish national team’s surprising 3-2 win against the DFB team. His goal to make it 1-1 brought the guests in Berlin back into the game.
The native Dutchman has also made a remarkable development at the club; he has already played 19 competitive games for Fenerbahce this season. The 24-year-old collected four scorer points (one goal, three assists).
According to “Bild” information, Kadioglu has catapulted himself onto the radar of numerous top clubs. From the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern are considered possible buyers.
The name of the up-and-coming winger had already been discussed in Munich in the summer when Benjamin Pavard’s departure to Inter Milan became more concrete.
FC Bayern and BVB face great competition for Kadioglu
However, Bayern and BVB are not alone in courting Kadioglu: According to “TRT”, FC Arsenal, SSC Napoli and AC Milan are also looking at the 15-time senior national player, whose contract in Istanbul runs until 2026.
The enormous interest in Kadioglu is said to have driven up the price. The SüperLig representative is apparently demanding at least 30 million euros for his top performer.
It remains questionable whether Dortmund Borussia in particular would be prepared to dig so deep into their pockets for Kadioglu. Unlike FC Bayern, the runner-up only has a manageable budget for the coming winter.
At the same time, coach Edin Terzic’s team has a lot more pressure on the back left: New signing Ramy Bensebaini was disappointing for long stretches, while all the other full-backs feel more comfortable on the right side.
