On October 4th, Depeche Mode want to announce in a press conference that they will soon be releasing a new album followed by a big tour. This rumor spread on Thursday (September 15th). Band fansite.
On Facebook, Strangelove-The Depeche Mode Experience posted a meme that read, “Depeche Mode will announce a new record and world tour at a press conference in Berlin on October 4th.”
Whether this is just a rumor or confirmed facts cannot be said at this point in time. Other sources do not (yet) confirm this information. Depeche Mode have not commented on this.
It goes on with Depeche Mode – even without Andy Fletcher
In August, it was announced that Depeche Mode were back in the studio — seeking solace at work following the death of Andy Fletcher. The founding member died unexpectedly on May 26, 2022 at the age of 60.
For a long time the question remained whether and how the British band would continue. Then, in mid-August, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore announced via the official Depeche Mode social media account that they are both working on new music. “Finding stability in what we know and love and focusing on what gives life meaning and purpose,” the musicians wrote about the studio picture.
