Will Cristiano Ronaldo send Atletico to the Madrid Choir?

Manchester United are a more than 60 per cent favorite to continue their skies this season in the Champions League.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo wind up against Atletico on Tuesday night? AOP

The most interesting game of the day

The evening’s two exciting Champions League matches will focus on the second round of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

The opening season in Madrid ended three weeks ago with a 1-1 draw. In that match, Atletico was on the neck both playfully and statistically. The finishers went 13–7 for the Madrid team and 1.4–0.6 for the match.

This second encounter is marked above all by Manchester United’s No. 1 striker Cristiano Ronaldon a return to the limelight after a couple of weeks of teasing and Atletico’s assembly worries.

Ronaldo hit a hat trick in the Premier League over the weekend with Tottenham’s net and outright hissed on the exchange bench after being switched to cool at the end of the game. Ronaldo, if who, lives on successes and now the hat trick came at exactly the right time for both the striker himself and Manchester United as a whole.

At worst, Ronaldo can practically poison a team if the man’s own game doesn’t run, and the spirit is clearly not the best all the time in United either, but professionals in such an important game are able to forget about schisms – especially if there’s success below. Mentally, United can get into the match of the evening from a good starting point.

Also in terms of line-ups, luck favors United today, because that’s the way it is Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay than Luke Shawkin have recovered from the game and the team has virtually no player deficiencies.

Atletico Madrid’s situation on the player front is the complete opposite of United; the lineup is missing several players normally in the opening. Yannick Carrasco is banned and injured Matheus Cunha, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Sime Vrsaljko, Daniel Wass, Thomas Lemar and Mario Hermoso.

Absences include a significant weakening of Madrid’s playing power.

As for Veikkaus, I am quite positive about United in terms of match strength. I alluded to this pair of matches even before the opening part of United’s continuation with a odds of 1.74. If it wasn’t played then, then the 1.56 that’s available now is still very close to playable at an estimated 63 percent.

To the tip rack however, I only count the hint given before the opening part.

In terms of goals, I don’t like the match now exceptionally (before this through Diego Simeone was with his team almost automatic-under) is nowhere near as minor as Veikkaus or the market more generally do. You can also give a small hint about the promised 2.14 odds of more than 2.5 goals.

Manchester United – Atletico Madrid starts at 10 p.m.

The best bet of the day

Wednesday’s best long haul search can be found in Mestis.

TUTO Hockey and Kiekko-Espoo last met on Saturday in Turku, and the match, which was of a minor nature, ended in a 3–2 away win in extra time.

Usually, matches of the same teams that are close in time lead to a downward trend in the number of goals. Teams learn each other’s offensive ways and are able to practice appropriate antidotes to them. Also at the player level, the formation of certain “battle pairs” leads to a famous reduction in space and time in terms of attack patterns.

When both TUTO Hockey and Kiekko-Espoo are the least important teams in the series, I dare to anticipate a strict and unimportant approach to this game from these points of view.

TUTO Hockey is Mestis’ second least goal team in all-season goal scoreboard statistics; 59 percent of its matches (27/46) have ended with a score of less than 5.5. The reading of goals less than 5.5 in Kiekko-Espoo (59%) is exactly the same as in Turku.

The 1.78 multiplier promised for less than 5.5 goals is at least a borderline case.

TUTO Hockey’s strict home-playing attitude and playing style is also indicated by the fact that as many as six of its seven previous home matches have ended in less than 5.5 goals. A 2.46 multiplier on TUTO Hockey’s direct 60-minute win is also a potential target.

The league’s best search, in turn, is the 1.62-odds offered by HIFK’s direct 60-minute win. This match will also start at 6.30pm.

On the football side, there are a couple of possible searches for the Championship. In the Blackburn – Derby match, it’s worth noting that Blackburn has configuration issues. The team is missing its best scorer Ben Brereton Díaz (20 league goals this season) in addition to several other players who normally fit into the opening.

Blackburn has only been able to win one of their previous nine matches.

Derby, who is fighting for his place in the league, may well be able to endure at least a minor draw against Blackburn from the start of the match.

The 1.93 multiplier paid for the Derby + 0.5 handicap is forcibly at least a little interesting.

Another good-looking match is the 1.74 odds promised for a Birmingham-Middlesbrough match with less than 2.5 goals.

Championship matches will begin at 9:45 p.m.
