On September 16, Jan Böhmermann shared a post on Instagram in which he hinted at the theme for the upcoming show of ZDF magazine Royale. His clothes – black cap, tank top and gold chain – and an energy drink in his hand are now causing users to speculate: will it be the twitch streamer MontanaBlack?

Böhmermann wrote in the post: “Tonight stream on relaxed. 8 p.m. ZDF Mediathek, 11 p.m. ZDF (linear television). Dirt, who does not switch on”. In the clip itself he says: “Tonight is a good topic. That’s why I can only recommend everyone to tune in properly tonight, into the linear ghost train. I don’t want to reveal too much just yet, but it will be ‘brake lights’. I can see more and more people coming in. Come in, if there’s enough in there, let’s get started”.

The performance, which is unusual for Böhmermann, makes the fans suspicious. For example, one user wrote: “So it’s about streamers, probably including MontanaBlack and its casino streams, or there’s a general revelation á la Kliemann. Sounds promising.” Another commented: “Hahahah oha big Monte show today” and tagged four other users.

Böhmermann warns against MontanaBlack’s community

Previously, Böhmermann took a closer look at the topic of online gambling in 2020 and in the course of this criticized the twitch streamer Jens Knossalla aka “Knossi”. And MontanaBlack also provided plenty to talk about in the podcast “Fest und Flauschig” with Olli Schulz: Böhmermann described the MontanaBlack community as “Nazis” and received a violent shitstorm for it. Schulz also said that it was “questionable” how the streamer “pulled young people with money games and the like”.

It is very likely that the new episode will be about Twitch streamers, because Böhmermann’s outfit and his choice of words strongly suggest that. It remains to be seen whether MontanaBlack will be the topic of the evening. The announced program runs on September 16 at 8 p.m. in the ZDF media library and at 11 p.m. on the ZDF TV program.
