It wouldn’t be a bad idea to replace Wilfred Genee in the talk show Veronica Offside with Hélène Hendriks, thinks professor Tina Nijkamp. “There is a threat overexposure.”
In addition to Today Inside five days a week, the busy Wilfred Genee can also be seen every Monday evening with Veronica Offside. The program is not really a hit, but yesterday the score was not too bad. This time 278,000 people watched the programme, accounting for a 6 percent market share and more than 7 percent in the commercial target group.
Want to replace Wilfred?
Viewing professor Tina Nijkamp is not sure whether it is good enough for a second season. “Not only VI will have a summer break in two weeks, but also Veronica Offside, that other program from Wilfred Genee. Yesterday it scored a bit better than in recent months,” she writes on her ratings juice channel.
She continues: “Is this program going ahead? I think the sponsor and Veronica want to continue. Wilfred too? Or would Hélène Hendriks take over/share the presentation with Wilfred next season?”
Overexposure
According to Tina it would be a great idea to protect Wilfred against overkill. Hélène is then a good replacement. “I wouldn’t be surprised now that HLF8 has disappeared and Wilfred is not only very busy, but that – given the high score of VI – SBS 6 is also extremely dependent on Wilfred and the other VI men.”
“And so it could just be that Talpa doesn’t want Wilfred overexposed is becoming. I’m curious,” she writes.
Nadia scores poorly
Surprisingly enough, the evening talk show of the country’s most watched TV channel barely scores better than Veronica Offside. 337 thousand people (11 percent) watched it yesterday.
Tina: “In terms of talk shows, Nadia’s score on NPO 1 can be called worrying. Monday record low. Only 337 thousand viewers, even though Monday is her best-scoring day. Time for MAX also scores higher on the (sunny) afternoon: 377 thousand viewers.”
