There is little chance that we will see Rob Kemps join the men of VI again, because they are not at all impressed by this broadcaster colleague. “He is not suitable as a table guest.”
After a period of fuss about his tantrums, Rob Kemps finally sat at the table with the men of VI the day before yesterday. The screaming presenter confirmed there that he had been calling around in Hilversum last month and also spoke condoning words about his buddy Matthijs van Nieuwkerk.
Silent Rob
Rob put Wilfred in his place when he called Matthijs ‘an asshole’ and refused to answer the question of how Matthijs is doing now. “If you want to know how Matthijs is doing, you have to invite him.”
As if Matthijs would even consider that for a nanosecond. In other words: Rob just didn’t feel like showing the back of his tongue. And the men of VI are a bit disappointed about that.
‘Unsuitable’
Wilfred thinks Rob no longer needs to come by and urges his colleague Johan Derksen in yesterday’s De Oranjewinter to express some critical words about him. That works. “Rob Kemps is not suitable to sit with us.”
Then Wilfred agrees with a laugh: “I thought exactly the same indeed.”
Johan: “He is too nice. Mister Correct.”
Wilfred: “He is too nuanced.”
“We’re not wearing anything!”
Johan: “He is a sweet boy, the ideal son-in-law.”
Then Wilfred again shows what he thinks of it: “But that is of no use to us, you mean?”
Johan: “No, a lot of people are not suitable to sit here, no matter how crazy that sounds.”
Wilfred: “Perhaps we should have discussed all this off the screens, but we have evaluated it here.”
Own fault
Johan: “Yes, but then you shouldn’t have asked.”
Wilfred: “No, that’s really stupid of me. It is my fault!”
When Britt Dekker does not want to say something a little later in the broadcast, Wilfred shouts: “Are you going to say nothing tonight in the Rob Kemps way? What is this say?”
