Oops, will Rob Kemps be happy with that? Wilfred Genee made a spicy joke about his sweetheart Stephanie Klaver in Today Inside. “Oh, I realize they’re both dead!”
Gerard Joling always takes two background dancers with him to his TV performances, including Stephanie Klaver, Rob Kemps’ new sweetheart. Those ladies always act wild and hysterical to make such a performance more dynamic. Last week those ladies also supported him and tonight it is their turn again in Today Inside.
Two moths
This time Gerard will perform with his new version of the Dorus classic Twee Motten. “They always had an organist, Mr. Cor Steyn, but he must have died,” Johan Derksen remembers.
Wilfred Genee: “I think so too, yes. This is from 1943 or something, right?”
Johan Derksen: “No, this is the late 50s, early 60s.”
Serious joke
Good news, says Wilfred. “Oh, then he’s still alive, there’s no other way. Well, it’s done again. It’ll be back tomorrow. Then the autocue will be set up here again and he will read the text again.”
Johan: “Would he also bring the dancers?”
Wilfred then comes up with his spicy joke: “I think so, right? Rob Kemps’ girlfriend. It is always there. Oh, I realize they’re both dead.”
Both dead
Both of Gerard’s dancers are dead? Including that chick of Rob’s? What exactly does Wilfred mean? Johan asks him: “Those two dancers?!”
René van der Gijp laughing: “Ah, that was in it, wasn’t it.”
Wilfred: “Just a very serious person who says in my ear: ‘They are both dead!’ Hahahahaha!”
René: “That Dorus too? Dead too?”
Wilfred: “Yes!”
BumaStemra
René is shocked: “Holy shit!”
Rutger Castricum laughs: “That’s why he chose the number. He doesn’t have to pay any more money.”
Wilfred: “It’s so old! There is no BumaStemra or anything like that!”
What is Johan going to ask Gerard tonight? “He has some explaining to do. About Gordon. First he breaks ground with Gordon and now he does not rule out a new collaboration.”
